Throckmore is a heavy hitting rock band from Las Vegas, NV that prides themselves on being involved with the crowd. Determined to separate themselves from the norm, Throckmore landed some of the best unknown musicians in the Vegas area that were just looking to have fun and entertain anyone that was willing to come to their shows. In a music scene that was saturated with Top 40, Classic Rock, 90’s Grunge, Alternative and Tribute Bands, they decided to do play a genre that they loved the most…covers of hard rock and a little heavy metal from the late 90’s to the current hits you can hear on satellite radio today. Something that they felt was missing in the local music scene. But, they also decided to do a few of those covers their own way and with their own personalities and influences. After all, if you want to hear the original song, you can stream it from the original artist online, anytime. Today, Throckmore has begun to incorporate a few of their own original songs into their sets. “Brit and I wrote he song ‘Part of Me’ several years ago. When we would play it for people, they really enjoyed it and asked is we had more. There are a lot of great musicians in this town. We want to create new music for those that follow us! Not just play the same old cover songs that these other bands can play. Of course we will always gear our sets towards the needs of the venue and the performance that is expected. But, we want to set ourselves apart a little bit.” stated Dee, guitarist and one of the founding members. In Throckmore, we refer to our fans as “Throckers”. “We don’t like calling the people that come to our show ‘fans’, because we are their fans, those Throckers are the reason we do what we do. They are Rockers! Hence the name ‘Throckers'”. There is even a Social Media group dedicated to our Throckers, called Throcker Nation on Facebook. That group page will provide insight, announcements and some behind the scenes views that the regular page may not always see. In the works will be a video channel for Throcker Nation that will hold interviews with other local bands, venues, Throckers and maybe even a few nationals that Throckmore has the honor of working with in the future.
